How to read <content:encoded> in RSS

Feb 13, 2009 at 2:55 PM
Using Argotic, how can I read the data within the content:encoded tag in an RSS item?  I only see a way to read the description tag.

The content:encoded tag is an extension to RSS, it should be showing up in the Extensions collection of the RSS item.

I tried this...but it didn't work...what am doing wrong?  The sample code you provide for itunes doesn't really help me for the content:econded tag:

Imports Argotic.Extensions.Core

Dim feed As RssFeed = RssFeed.Create(feedUrl, settings)
For Each item As RssItem In feed.Channel.Items
Dim tmpContent As String = ""
If item.HasExtensions Then
Dim itemExtension As SiteSummaryContentItem
tmpContent = itemExtension.Content.ToString()
Catch ex As Exception
tmpContent = ""
End Try
End If

Is there anyone out there that can help me quicker with this issue?

Please contact me if you can provide assistance.

Thank you, do you have that code in I need to declare the
variables as a certain type and I'm not sure which ones to choose
(string? object?).

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  I've tried converting your C code to VB...but I'm getting errors still.  Can you provide me with VB code to read rss content:enconded?

Thank you,

This is an old thread, but it's the only one that shows up when I search for this problem. I'm also trying to figure this out. Please help.
