Date exacted from feeds http://www.techbargains.com/rss.xml is not correct

Hi,

I am trying to read the feeds using RssFeed class. However the PubDate information for each RssItem cannot be extracted correctly.

This feed is a RSS 0.91. However the version in RssFeed class says 2.0.

Looking forward to your help.

Thanks,

Hi,

I had trouble with some of mine feeds as well.

I used a work-a-round that also caught the problems i had with incorrect dates in the right format (dates from the future or from ancient times...)

In most cases the date is placed in a DC (Dublin Core) field that is not parsed by argotic.

My solution to the above was:

If the date is not OK (from the future, ancient times or if there is no date)

put out the date when it was fetched by your program.

The above workes fine for me since i have different processes for fetching and displaying feeds.
